So I get this email from random dude out in Tacoma... he says there is a ride going on and it's called Buzz Cruzz. Personally, I have no idea what cruzz means, maybe I'm just getting old. Anyhow, sounds like it has potential so check it out. Once a month on Friday closest the full moon. In addition, the start time changes each month so be ready for that.

We've finally locked it down. Thanks for bearing with us through our struggles with the NYC beaurocracy everyone. We told you we'd pull through with the best championships ever, and we will. The event will still take place between June 30th and July 4th, and the Main Race will be in Jersey City, New Jersey. We realize that it might sound odd to have the New York Championships in New Jersey, but these are the hoops we needed to jump through. It's only a short ferry or train ride to Jersey, and most of the night's parties will still be in New York.

morrispost is sponsoring this event by way of the Golden Nugget Race Series in Seattle! We will fly three people roundtrip to represent the westside in NYC this year.

Portland won the bid for this year's North American Cycle Courier Championships. They are having the race in place of the West Side Invite on Memorial Day weekend.

"After four sucessful west side invites we were loath to change from our format of the citywide allecat, but to call it the NAC it has to be a closed course so we have secured permits for an area in Lair Hill. A map, course description, online registration and lots more info will be up soon. Really."

Hey! This is our BIG event to conclude the Golden Nugget series of races. We expect 50 riders plus we're giving away TWO round trip tickets to New York City!!!! One ticket for the Men's category and one for the Women's category. In order to make everything fair and even, we'll be releasing the list of checkpoints on April 1st, 2005.

This is a challenge race with multiple manifests and many checkpoints. There will be bands, beer, friends and much love involved. There will likely be Amtrak passage to PDX for the NACCC Memorial Day weekend, plus prizes from Dank Bags, Counterbalance Bicycles, Recycled Cycles, Outdoor Research, morrispost and more. Golden Nugget #3, the final race in the series of nuggets. We will award the points leader round trip airfare to New Your City to compete in the Cycle Messenger World Championships in July. This will undoubtedly be the biggest nugget race yet!

We've hidden the nugget, this time you're really going to have to work for it.

We're going to give it a shot... mP is having a race in PDX. It is gonna be late night, lots of fun, and lots of good times. The race is just now taking shape so we'll let you know more very soon. The race itself will include many bridge crossings, city traverses, core stops, rolling hill climbs, and a bucket-load of surprises. Keeping the series tradition alive, we will be giving away a gold CHRIS KING headset and round-trip rail passage to Seattle for the 2005 Pre-NACCC Scramble. $10 entry

Some people have said that the Golden Nugget #1 was a bit easy... well you had better prepare yourselves for #2. The Messmann Cometh.

Peace to our friend Ted who passed away peacefully on Saturday. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends, he is missed by many. There is a mass ride to honor his life this Wednesday, February 23rd. Meet up at the Hurricane around 7pm. If you knew Ted, or know someone who did, tell them about this event, and show up to ride.

There is a $10 entry fee for each race in this series. The overall points leader at the end of three races flys to New York for free. We're giving away a Gold Chris King headset after each race. The recipient will be determined by joint sub-committee, using anything and everything to support their decision.

Hot Dogs will be available for $2, courtesy of Ali. Alchohol will be cheap after the race, likely dollar PBR's or something of that nature.

There will definitely be POLO after all of these races so be prepared. Depending on the venue, there will be live music as well.

This is a RAIN OR SHINE event!

Fall is a great time for some messenger-inspired racing in this urban playground we call Spokane. Anyone can ride, any bike can participate! This year, the entry fee is $5 for road, mountain, and cross bikes. Single speeds race for $2 and fixed-gear bikes race for free. Riders will hit multiple checkpoints across the city, tackling city streets, dirt trails, staircases and alleyways. There will be opportunities to score pick-up/delivery and scavenger bonuses.

Register at the Riverfront Park clock tower at 2p, Saturday, October 16th. From there you will be issued a manifest with the checkpoints. This will be less pack racing and more about strategizing on how to get to all checkpoints fastest. (Although, following someone can often be a good idea!) There is no distinct route. After the race, weÂ’ll give away prizes and start the festivities Riders will get free admission to The Blvd. Live Entertainment House at 333 W. Spokane Falls Blvd, downtown. Looner, the only rock band on The Marley Brothers tour, will be performing, as participants are treated to $1 beer and other specials.

That's right, it's back! What would be better than racing your bike, drinking beer, and eating a corndog on a hot Saturday afternoon? Not much? Good answer. This year's classic is on Saturday, August 28th, and is going to be a 3 hour race. It has the standard corndog/beer stop, but this time the race features a poker run, a longboard timetrial, a criterium run, and lots of great views of our beautiful city!

Just to toss a wrench into the whole process, this year will also have mega-bonus points...to anyone who can throw down the McAnimal. What's a McAnimal you ask? Well, let's see... Start with a bun, toss on a fillet o' fish, a hamburger patty, and a chicken sandwich. Top it off with a bun and there you have it... the McAnimal. Sound impossible? Not so. World record holder Patrick "Cankles" Lewinsky (Monica's younger bro) has done one while on the clock, and was still able to monitor his radio!

So...... bring your friends, your appetite, and YOUR BIKE to Seattle and race until your heart is content.

5/22/04 - This morning Ortega confirmed that the race date has been finalized. It will be a couple weekends after the CMWC04 in Edmonton. Saturday, July 17th, 2004. This race has a rep for being super fun, everyone needs to show up, even just to party.

4/26/04 - It's been brought up that the race may be better suited for the weekend after CMWC04 instead of the weekend before. Having not decided on the best course of action is why we say there is a possible race date change. We will know very soon, it's still early though... plenty of time to get your "brakeless trackbike in the woods at night" skills in check. Hahaha, yeah. Okay.

The "Vashon Island Bike Riders Association Totally Off Road" puts on the VIBRATOR cross race each year around the beginning of summer. The course is over the hill and through the woods, literally. Be ready for time trial style trail riding with a few twists.

The event is still in the planning stages so this information should not be considered final just yet. Robert Ortega, the race organizer, is very excited about this year's event, saying the amount of people interested is way up from last year! There will be live bands all day long, a party in the evening, camping, fishing, polo, and more. Due to the large anticipated turnout, race organizers have said there will quite possibly be a 30 racer maximum. So, when the time comes... get your registration in early!

Cost is $20 to race. $10 to party and camp. Again, these #'s are NOT finalized. Bring your bikes, park your car at the ferry park and ride and cruise in. There is no parking available at the race site. People were raving about last year, so this year is gonna be incredible! It's a good price also, considering entertainment, beer, and a campsite are being provided! More info as it becomes available. we will also be posting some photos from Vibrator 2003.

This is a two day event that includes an alleycat on Saturday and a polo tourney on Sunday. The alleycat details are as follows:

This is a Seattle alleycat put on by DANK Bags tailor Cory Bennion. The start location is TBA at this point but it will likely be somewhere near the normal spot... Denny Park @ Denny Way & Westlake in Seattle,WA. This is one of the most anticipated annual races in Seattle, be there or be a damn square. -mP

PJ is throwing a race, but not on bikes... this time on office chairs. This could prove to be one of the best races of any kind yet to be held in Seattle. He has secured the chairs, and enough racers to make it interesting but we need more people! Check back in the next couple days for a flyer as well as final details for the race!

We feel confident in advertising guaranteed carnage. There are rumors of an eating contest. Stay tuned.

Gus Trapp, the drummer for the Spokane band Seawolf, was hospitalized and induced into a coma due to brain swelling. In support of Gus, his family, and his recovery, Ctrl Z will be playing with Scatterbox (Burns Like Hellfire has cancelled), Six State Bender and After Eyes Are Gone. These bands seriously rock, don't miss it! This show is just one of several being put on in both Seattle and Spokane in support of Gus. For dates, places, and info check here. Rock 'n' Roll.

This is Messmann's 3rd Annual Messquerade and is sure to live up to it's name! Start in the sunken lot behind Cafe Vita on Capitol Hill. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT! All are welcome, wear your costumes and bring your race face.

Bring your packs, and your helmet if you have one! It is truly unbelievable how many sponsors are backing Morrispost over in Spokane this time! Racers are sure to end up with some great prizes.

This is a RAIN OR SHINE event, so show up with your wet gear and fenders at 5pm this Saturday. The Riverfront Park Clocktower is the spot. Riders can expect a pick-up and a delivery plus a mystery stop. Prizes and the usual festivities will follow the race. Can you beat Billy, the reigning champ! Anyone can ride as the race is designed for riders of all skill levels! There will be BEER and festivities at the finish. Bring your friends!

Filmed by Bike is April 13-15, 2007. Yup, that's right, three full days of bike-themed film shorts, does life get any better?

The Opening Night Throwdown, with all the pomp and cincumstance and beer you've come to expect, is Friday the 13th at 7:00pm and 9:00pm. The program will have a standard run on Saturday and Sunday as well.

Everyone should check this out, a very cool independent film festival powered by bikes!

It looks like the fights will go on, but not in the cold. The fights need to be held outside. As always, the dates will be posted when they come through.
