Corndog Classic II Alleycat Results & Photos

The night of the Corndog was nothing short of what we expected. It all started early... I showed up at Flatty around 5:30 on the night of the race and there were already about 20 people milling around with their PBR's in hand. It was Corndog's last day on the job with Flatty Crew so naturally, the atmosphere in the shop was electric. I took the camera out almost as soon as I got there, so that's when the coverage starts. Most of the photos are in chronological order throughout the night. Check out the results below.

Manifest    Flyer #1   Flyer #2

Results in order of finish:

1st Place | 32 - Rob Kittilson
2nd Place | Matt Messenger
3rd Place | Matt Heidrich
4th Place | One-Seven Lara (1st Female)
5th Place | Brandon Lockwood

In order to place you must return to the finish with a correct and complete manifest. Following instructions in an alleycat is crucial. A strong showing by One-Seven, nice work Lara!

The race started and finished at Fleetfoot. At one stop, you had to pound a beer, and at another you had to down a corndog. (yes, the microwave was sacrificed during the melee.) Check out the manifest for all the checkpoints. The effective route was pretty simple, it went something like this.

From Fleetfoot, to 1150 Republican, to 764 Melrose E, to 1715 18th Ave. Proper, then back to Flatty for a corndog. Those stops had to be done in order anyway so now is where the routing begins. Fleetfoot to 601 Valley St., to 2 W. Roy and then 419 Pine. Three stops to go... South side of Seneca St. between 6th & 7th, to 620 Maynard Ave. S, and to finish it all off... a long mash back to the finish line from the last stop at 1707 Alaskan Way S.

A fun route but slightly difficult if you didn't really know where you were going. It was a bold move to have a checkpoint so high up on the hill. And the Alaskan Way S was a haul. Thanks to everyone who came out.
